I'm getting the Sominize system done. They seal the paint and do a stain protection on the inside. It cost $700 to get done but it comes with a full warranty inside and out for 5 years. Anything happens to the paint or interior will be fixed for free.

These and other basic dimensions come straight from GM's Epsilon chassis that the 2008 Malibu shares with the Saturn Aura. So it's no surprise that our top-level Malibu LTZ carries the same 252-horsepower 3.6-liter double-overhead-cam V6 with variable valve timing that we've seen in the Aura. Unencumbered by the low-revving pushrods and restrictive two-valve heads of last year's 3.5-liter GM V6, the LTZ sprints to 60 mph in an energetic 6.6 seconds, finishing the quarter-mile in 15.1 seconds at 92.9 mph.

This car is awesome ! It has Onstar and they did a diagnostic on the car .Sent me an email on the results and it told me that one tire was a little low. Even told me what PSI each tire has.

a car is a car, a truck is a truck. if it does the job and doesn't give problems then what is the big deal.

i understand people have preferences, like i love nissan's really wont drive another brand of cars, but to say a truck is better than a car and vise versa is just retarded. i mean cna a car go off roading, no, can a truck take a turn at 1g, no. both have their place in the world. when you make a truck try to act like a car or a car act like a truck is when it gets stupid.

Taking the car in for it's Simoniz Glass coat treatment. It's a treatment to protect the paint and interior with a 5 year warranty . If I get any stains inside that won't come out, they will replace the seat or carpet. Anything happens to the paint will be fixed. I don't even have to wax it for five years. It cost me $700 extra but for what I'm paying for this car, I'm going to make it last as long as I can.

word of advice: do not wax the car LESS than 4 times a year. there is no "protector" out there that can protect clearcoat for more than a few months under ideal conditions.

i worked in a body shop as a painter for a while and i've seen plenty of cars with similar products and the clearcoat was just dead after people never waxed them and the elements got to em.

that is worth it imo. a paint job to fix a chip isn't cheap. not sure if that color red is costly like some.

most reds are expensive to paint, especially the newer ones (2000 and up) because a lot of them became 3-stage paints and they're not easy to blend(match) with existing paints

i know some reds use ot have gold flakes/pigment in it that made the price go up.
and black is the hardest color to fade match.

That's why I don't like the Chevy avalanche . The bed is to small for any real work.

VW pick up truck? please post up a picture of one, never heard of their truck.

and i know i cant believe i am saying this but i like the minivan. took my dads up to michigan (5hr drive) with a quad inside it. i was able to cruise 85-90mph most of the time, still get 20-22mpg, and it as comfy. something i dont think a SUV or a truck could really do. i know this hurt me to say.
